Security forces kill 24 Khawarij militants in KP operations

WEB DESK: Following the successful operations in Kurram against the Khawarij by armed forces, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday praised the forces, as a total number of 33 militants were killed in two separate operations.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the security forces received reports of militant presence leading to the execution of operation. Troops effectively targeted a hideout and, following an intense exchange of fire, killed a total of 33 militants with twelve killed in one engagement, while another 23 were eliminated in a subsequent action.

The prime minister commended the professionalism and resolve of the officers and personnel involved, saying their efforts had “sent 33 militants to hell.” He vowed that the fight against terrorism would continue until its complete eradication from the country.

“Pakistan will not rest until this menace is wiped out,” the PM said, adding that the entire nation “stands shoulder to shoulder with the Pakistan Armed Forces in their unwavering commitment to defend our beloved homeland.”
