PM Sharif to meet President Zardari, PPP delegation today

WEB DESK: A high-level round of political meetings is expected in the capital today as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is to hold separate sessions with President Asif Ali Zardari as well as as a PPP delegation led by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari.
According to reports, Bilawal Bhutto will arrive at the Prime Minister’s House this evening along with a PPP delegation that includes Raja Pervez Ashraf, Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, and Sherry Rehman. The government’s side will comprise Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and Amir Maqam, sources added.
The two leaders are expected to discuss the overall political situation, with particular focus on government formation in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). Bilawal Bhutto is likely to inform the Prime Minister about PPP’s nominee for AJK’s new Prime Minister and extend another invitation to the PML-N to join the AJK cabinet, according to insiders.
Later in the evening, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is scheduled to meet President Asif Ali Zardari at 7 pm at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. The meeting will also be attended by Bilawal Bhutto and senior PML-N ministers, sources said.
During the session, the Prime Minister will brief the President on his recent visit to Saudi Arabia, as well as developments on national, political, and governance matters, signaling a day of intense political consultations among Pakistan’s top leadership.
