PM Sharif wraps up Saudi, Qatar, Turkey visit, returns to Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif departed from Antalya for Pakistan on Saturday after completing a three-nation tour of Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey.
At Antalya airport, the prime minister and his delegation were seen off by Turkish Foreign Ministry Director General Ambassador Tolga Bermek, Ambassador Nilufer Kaygisiz, member of the Turkish parliament Burhan Kayaturk, and Pakistan’s ambassador to Turkey Yousaf Junaid.
Sharif’s three-day visit included meetings with the leadership of the three countries as well as interactions with global leaders on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
During the tour, the prime minister discussed strengthening bilateral ties with the “brotherly countries”, Pakistan’s efforts for regional peace, and exchanged views on regional and global developments, according to officials.
The delegation accompanying Sharif included Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi, and the prime minister’s coordinator for foreign media Mosharraf Zaidi.
