ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Tuesday expressed Pakistan’s readiness to engage in talks with neighbouring countries, provided that they are equally committed to sitting down at the negotiating table for resolving serious matters, adding that war is not an option
He made those comments while addressing Pakistan Minerals Summit in Islamabad.
He further said that his government firmly believes in peaceful resolutions to conflicts and considers wars as inadequate solutions to issues.
He also stressed the significance of engaging in dialogue and allocating public resources to promote the well-being of the people.
He further stressed the desire for the best possible relations with the United States, built on mutual trust and respect, rejecting any relationships that involve attempts to deceive one another.
The summit was jointly organised by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and Barrick Gold Corporation, facilitated by the Ministry of Petroleum.
