PM Shehbaz calls for stronger G2G, B2B ties with Saudi delegation

WEB DESK: Prime Minister (PM)Shehbaz Sharif has called for stronger government-to-government (G2G) and business-to-business (B2B) cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as the two sides discussed ways to expand trade, investment and economic ties.
The prime minister made the remarks during a meeting with a Saudi business delegation led by Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council Prince Mansour bin Mohammed Al Saud.
PM Shehbaz said Pakistan wants to transform its economic relations with Saudi Arabia into a strategic economic partnership, while welcoming the Saudi business community’s interest in investing in priority sectors.
He said the current time was ideal for further promoting G2G and B2B cooperation between the two countries.
PM Shehbaz conveyed his best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Prince Mansour thanked the premier for the warm welcome and reaffirmed the Saudi government and business community’s continued interest in deepening business ties with Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz also recalled Prince Mansour’s previous visits to Pakistan, saying the current visit would help turn cooperation in various sectors into practical initiatives and pave the way for the signing of memoranda of understanding and agreements.

The meeting also discussed exploring new opportunities to promote trade and investment between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During its visit, the Saudi delegation will meet senior government officials and key private-sector stakeholders to explore new avenues for mutual investment and business cooperation.
