PM Shehbaz condemns Israeli attacks, discusses peace efforts with Lebanon’s PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Thursday, strongly condemning the recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

During the call, PM Shehbaz expressed deep sorrow over the loss of thousands of lives and extended Pakistan’s condolences to the victims’ families.

He emphasised that Pakistan remains committed to promoting peace and stability in the region, noting that the ongoing Iran-US peace negotiations are part of these efforts.

Prime minister Salam appreciated Pakistan’s sincere mediation efforts and requested Islamabad’s assistance to halt the attacks immediately.

Both leaders agreed to stay in close contact to coordinate further on regional peace and security.
