PM Shehbaz congratulates Field Marshal on being appointed as CDF

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his appointment as Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).

PM Shehbaz extended his best wishes to the Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir, saying the appointment of the CDF is in line with modern warfare requirements and will further strengthen the country’s defence.

The premier said that under Field Marshal Asim Munir’s leadership, Pakistan’s brave armed forces dealt a decisive and humiliating defeat to the enemy. He added that the successful outcome of the Battle of Truth under his command brought honour to Pakistan on the global stage.

Shehbaz also congratulated the Air Chief on receiving a two-year extension in service and conveyed his best wishes. He said the Pakistan Air Force, under the Air Chief’s leadership, demonstrated exceptional professionalism and overpowered the enemy in the Battle of Truth.

He reaffirmed that all national institutions will work together for Pakistan’s defence, development, and prosperity. “Together, we will make the country’s defence truly invincible,” he added.
