Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for a four-day official visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey, in what officials describe as a significant diplomatic push aimed at strengthening regional partnerships and projecting Pakistan’s global stance.

The visit, scheduled from April 15 to 18, comes amid evolving geopolitical dynamics, with Islamabad seeking to deepen economic and strategic cooperation with key allies in the Middle East and beyond.

The prime minister is accompanied by senior members of his cabinet, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and senior aide Tariq Fatemi.

During his stops in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, Sharif is expected to hold high-level meetings with the leadership of both countries, focusing on expanding bilateral cooperation, economic engagement, and discussions around regional peace and security.

The final leg of the trip will take him to Turkey, where he will participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum. At the forum, the prime minister is set to join other global leaders in a high-level panel to present Pakistan’s perspective on key international issues.

On the sidelines, Sharif is also expected to meet Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and engage in a series of bilateral discussions with other world leaders attending the forum.

Officials say the visit underscores Pakistan’s continued focus on proactive diplomacy and strengthening its role in regional and global affairs.
