PM Shehbaz reaches Switzerland to attend World Economic Forum

BERN: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reached Switzerland on Tuesday evening to attend the 56th World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, taking place between January 19–23.

The WEF Summit 2026 is taking place to address the rapid global change with a primary focus on building trust, fostering dialogue, and developing solutions to economic and geopolitical challenges. 

PM Shehbaz is also expected to participate in a Pakistan-specific “High-level Business Roundtable” with different corporate leaders.

During his visit here, the premier was also accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attahullah Tarar and other officials.

Political leaders, business executives, heads of international organizations and civil society representatives will also attend the WEF Annual Meeting. It deliberates on contemporary geopolitical, economic, social and environmental issues.
