PM Shehbaz Sharif arrives in Bahrain for two-day visit

WEB DESK: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has arrived in Manama on Wednesday for a two-day official visit to Bahrain, where he was received by the kingdom’s Crown Prince.

Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, several federal ministers and senior officials are accompanying the prime minister as part of the high-level delegation.

According to official statements, the visit will include a series of important meetings aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to hold talks with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, focusing on political, economic and defence ties, as well as opportunities for expanding trade and investment.

He will also meet Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to discuss regional developments, labour and employment matters concerning Pakistani expatriates, and ways to enhance collaboration across various sectors.

The visit is expected to reaffirm Pakistan’s long-standing ties with Bahrain and explore avenues for deeper strategic engagement.
