PML-N’s top body endorses Shehbaz Sharif as PM candidate

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) parliamentary party has endored the nomination of Shehbaz Sharif for the prime minister’s slot.
Addressing the gathering, PML-N supremo and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif announced that Shehbaz Sharif, the party’s nominee, would be vying for the prime minister’s slot while Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will be the candidate for the National Assembly speaker.
After the announcement, the parliamentary party endorsed both the nominations.
Reflecting on the party’s past achievements, the former prime minister emphasized PML-N’s track record in advancing the nation’s interests and reiterated the importance of every individual fulfilling their role in steering Pakistan towards prosperity.
Speaking to reporters, Nawaz Sharif expressed confidence in the incoming government’s ability to revitalize the economy, asserting that economic stability is pivotal for addressing various national challenges.
Highlighting the significance of democratic continuity, Nawaz Sharif articulated the party’s desire for every assembly and senate member to complete their respective tenures, alongside the prime minister’s completion of their term.
Addressing concerns regarding the economy, the former prime minister assured that the incoming government would prioritize economic revival, recognizing its interconnection with numerous societal issues.
Concluding his remarks, Nawaz Sharif expressed optimism for the resolution of all challenges, dispelling any notions of political instability, and expressing hope for political and economic stability in the country.
