Pneumonia claims five more lives, 717 new cases reported in Punjab

LAHORE: Pneumonia claimed the lives of five more children while 717 new cases were reported across the province during 24 hours.

According to a health department report on Wednesday, five additional children succumbed to infectious pneumonia, bringing the total death toll during the ongoing year to 410.

As many as 182 news pneumonia cases have been reported from Lahore during one day but no death was reported. As many as 65 children have died of pneumonia in Lahore during the ongoing year.

During the ongoing year, 30,320 pneumonia cases were reported across Punjab while 6,620 cases were from Lahore.
