BENGALURU: Police in Bengaluru have filed an FIR against three bars and restaurants, including One8 Commune, co-owned by Indian cricket star Virat Kohli, for allegedly operating beyond permissible hours.

On a tip-off, a police team led by PSI Ashok Thakur conducted a raid at One8 Commune, located in Rathnam’s Complex on Kasturba Road near MG Road, around 2 am on Saturday and found it still in operation. The pub’s manager has been booked under the Karnataka Police Act, The Hindu said.

Similar raids led to two other establishments — Empire Restaurant on Church Street and Pangeo Pub on Brigade Road — being charged for breaching the stipulated operating time.

“We booked around 3-4 pubs for running late until 1:30 a.m. last night. We received complaints of loud music being played. Pubs were allowed to remain open only until 1 a.m. and not beyond that,” DCP Central said, according to ANI.

Bengaluru’s regulations stipulate that restaurants and pubs must cease serving customers by 1 am.
