FAISALABAD: A police officer at the Virtual Women Police Station in Faisalabad saved the life of a visually impaired woman who had expressed her intent to commit self-immolation.

According to a Safe City spokesperson, the woman, distressed due to domestic issues, called Helpline 15 and said she intended to take her own life.

Initially, she did not disclose her name or location due to mental stress, the spokesperson said.

Recognising the urgency of the situation, a police officer at the Virtual Women Police Station engaged with her empathetically, offering reassurance and support.

The official urged citizens — especially women — to call Helpline 15 and press extension 2 to reach the Virtual Women Police Station in cases of distress or danger.
