Polio campaign in Punjab set to begin on April 13

LAHORE: Punjab is gearing up for its next phase of the national polio eradication campaign, which is scheduled to start on April 13. The campaign aims to bring the province closer to a polio-free Pakistan through targeted and effective strategies.

Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir said, “A polio-free Pakistan is our shared goal,” emphasizing the government’s commitment to eliminating the disease.

According to campaign officials, more than 22.3 million children across Punjab will receive polio drops during this drive, marking a significant effort in the fight against the disease.

The launch event was held at Lahore Town Hall, showing the importance of the campaign and the coordinated efforts of health authorities to reach every child.
