Powerball draw 1551: No jackpot winner spotted

NEW YORK: The Powerball winning numbers have been announced for Wednesday night’s draw, with the jackpot sitting at an estimated $80 million. However, no ticket matched all the numbers to claim the top prize.

The winning numbers for Powerball Draw 1551 were 27, 29, 30, 37, and 58, with the Powerball number 15. The Power Play multiplier was 2X.

Despite no division one winner, several major prizes were claimed. Two Match 5 plus Power Play tickets, each worth $2 million, were sold in Oregon and Pennsylvania, while one Match 5 ticket worth $1 million was sold in Illinois.

The largest Powerball jackpot ever won remains the $842.4 million prize claimed in Michigan in January 2024, after a winning ticket was sold at the Castle in Grand Blanc.

Although the jackpot was not won, participation remained strong. More than 180,000 Western Australians recorded wins across divisions two to nine.

Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said the growing jackpot presents a chance to match Western Australia’s biggest-ever lottery win.

“WA’s biggest Lotto prize to date is an $80 million Powerball jackpot, which was shared by a group of 55 women from a northern suburbs gym in December 2021,” she said.

An $80 million jackpot is a great opportunity for players to form a syndicate with family, friends, or workmates, share the cost of a ticket, and potentially share the joy of a win, the spokesperson said.

“To set up a syndicate, players simply need to gather a group, decide on a spend per person, and visit a local retailer to organise the ticket.”
