PPP announces no-confidence move in AJK, nominates Faisal Rathore for PM

MIRPUR: Senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders have confirmed major political developments in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), signaling a decisive shift in the region’s political landscape. PPP leader Faisal Rathore has also emerged as the party’s nominee for new premier.

PPP leader Chaudhry Yasin reiterated that the PPP stands firmly with the people of Kashmir, noting that the party has become a strong political force in the region. He praised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari for taking “important and timely decisions” to strengthen the party as it prepares for the upcoming elections.

Yasin reiterated the party’s commitment to addressing public issues and resolving the problems faced by the people of AJK. He also confirmed that the PPP has nominated Faisal Rathore as its candidate for the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile, PPP leaders Raja Pervez Ashraf and Chaudhry Yasin held a press conference outside Zardari house, where Ashraf said that after internal consultations, the PPP has decided to submit a no-confidence motion against the current AJK government.

Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed confidence in the party’s political strategy, declaring, “Our government will be formed in Jammu and Kashmir.”

The no-confidence motion is expected to be formally submitted today, marking a critical moment in AJK’s evolving political developments.
