PPP awards ticket to first non-Muslim female candidate from Buner district

WEB DESK: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has granted a ticket to the first female candidate from a minority community to contest a provincial assembly constituency in Buner district.

Dr Saveera Parkash, a 25-year-old medical professional in Pakistan’s northwest, is running for the candidacy in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly’s PK-25 constituency.

She graduated from Abbottabad International Medical College in 2022, and holds a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS).
