President announces Sitara-i-Imtiaz for architect Malika Junaid

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has announced to bestow the prestigious ‘Pakistan Civil Awards’ on both Pakistani citizens and foreign nationals who have demonstrated exceptional excellence and courage within their respective domains.

The president has also announced the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz award to Malika Junaid for her remarkable contributions to the field of architecture.

These awards will be granted to the selected citizens on Pakistan Day, March 23, 2024.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Malika Junaid has more than 30 years of management experience in all aspects of planning, designing, documentation and construction support, as well as an extensive background in construction and cost estimating for architectural projects.

She cofounded the Los Altos firm M Designs Architects, in 2002, with Alpheus Jessup.

Moreover, a total of 70 individuals will be conferred the President’s Award for Pride of Performance and three will be awarded Sitar-i-Quadi-i-Azam while four individuals will be awarded Sitar-i-Khidmat.
