President summons joint parliamentary session on April 18

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned a joint session of both houses of parliament on April 18, Thursday, at 4 pm.

At the beginning of the parliamentary year following the general election, the president shall address both Houses and inform the Parliament of the causes of its summons.

President Zardari has summoned the joint parliamentary session in exercise of the power conferred under Articles 54 (1) and 56 (3) of the Constitution.

The notification for the joint session scheduled for April 16 has been withdrawn.
