President Xi felicitates Zardari on being elected as president

BEIJING: Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on being elected as the president of Pakistan.

In his congratulatory message, the Chinese president stated that the ironclad friendship between Pakistan and China is the choice of history and a precious treasure of the people, and that China and Pakistan are good neighbours, good friends, good partners, and good brothers.

President Xi Jinping said that both countries have achieved positive results in the construction of CPEC, maintained close high-level exchanges, and supported each other on issues related to fundamental interests.

The Chinese president mentioned in his message that the strategic significance of China-Pakistan relations has become more prominent, and he was ready to work with President Zardari to advance practical cooperation in various fields.
