President Zardari arrives in Abu Dhabi on four-day official visit

WEB DESK: President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Monday for a four-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
He was received at the Presidential Flight Terminal of Zayed International Airport by UAE Minister of Justice Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi. The president was accompanied by First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, while Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE Shafqat Ali Khan was also present at the reception.
Talks to cover trade, security and defence ties
The visit, which will continue until January 29, is expected to include meetings with the UAE leadership focusing on the full spectrum of bilateral relations. Discussions will centre on expanding trade and economic engagement, enhancing defence and security cooperation, and strengthening people-to-people links.
Officials said the visit reflects the longstanding partnership and close fraternal ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, underscoring both countries’ commitment to deepening collaboration in areas of mutual interest.
