President Zardari to visit Bahrain from January 13 to 16

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari will undertake an official visit to Bahrain from January 13 to 16, the Foreign Office said on Monday.

According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the president will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. During the visit, President Zardari is scheduled to hold meetings with the King of Bahrain as well as the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom.

The discussions will focus on bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest, including regional and international developments. The visit is expected to further strengthen Pakistan’s longstanding cooperation with the brotherly Gulf state.

The Foreign Office said the tour will also help explore new avenues for collaboration in trade and economic partnership, defence and security cooperation, and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
