Preview of Savannah's interview: Guthrie describes 'agony' of her mother's disappearance

The heartbroken Savannah Guthrie, an American broadcast journalist, shared the first experience that her family is going through after their mother, Nancy Guthrie reported missing since February first.

In the preview of her interview, which will be made public on March 26-27, she said she will “not hide” the pain she is in amid her mom’s disappearance.  She reiterated, “She needs to come home now.”

In today’s preview clip, the 54-year-old Savannah is sitting for the first time with her former colleague Hoda Kotb, appearing in a crying mood. “We are in agony. It is unbearable. And to think of what she went through,” the journalist described her family status.

She added, “I wake up every night in the middle of the night, every night, and in the darkness, I imagine her [mom] terror.” “And it is unthinkable, but those thoughts demand to be thought,” the 84-year-old mother’s daughter said.

The anchor’s Today colleagues, such as Hoda, Carson Daly and Craig Melvin, commended the 54-year-old’s ability to sit in the interview at a time when her whole family is going through “agony”.

The interview panel described the situation she is going through as a difficult time for her, and The Guthrie’s mother, who is also a bear, Annie Guthrie and Camron Guthrie as her children, at her Tucson, Ariz., Savannah noted in the preview that she wanted to make sure the world knew she is “still standing.”

But what it says of hope to be the only thing that the world is living by, which she agreed to as well in the interview. “I still have hope, and I’m still me,” she said, adding, “And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.”

“We are deeply grateful for the outpouring from neighbours, friends and the people of Tucson,” the family wrote in a statement shared to Instagram on March 22. “We are all a family now.”

“We miss our mom with every breath, and we cannot be at peace until she is home.”

Earlier, Nancy’s loved ones alerted the “Today” show and informed the local station police officers as well to bring the reported missing of the 84-year-old Nancy to their notice. Her family reported her missing around noon after her children, who continued to search for her for an hour, couldn’t find her.

Later, the police officials confirmed the reported disappearance of Nancy to Today.

But the journalist also added, “I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe.”
