Prince Bandar bin Abdullah Al Saud dies, funeral held in Riyadh

RIYADH: Prince Bandar bin Abdullah Al Abdulrahman Al Saud, a member of the Saudi royal family, has passed away, the Saudi Royal Court confirmed.

The prince’s funeral prayer was held on Sunday after Asr prayer at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Grand Mosque in Riyadh. The ceremony was attended by Riyadh Governor Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, other members of the royal family, senior officials, and prominent figures from across the country.

In a statement, the Royal Court prayed for mercy, forgiveness, and high ranks in paradise for the late prince.

This follows a recent loss in the royal family, as another Saudi prince, Abdullah bin Fahd bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, passed away abroad last month. His funeral was also held at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque in Riyadh.

Prince Bandar bin Abdullah’s passing marks another moment of mourning for the House of Saud, reflecting the continued prominence of royal traditions and public condolences in Saudi society.
