Princess Charlotte’s Easter outfit has caught widespread attention, with royal watchers pointing out striking similarities to her mother, Kate Middleton.
The 10-year-old royal joined Prince William, the Princess of Wales and her brothers Prince George and Prince Louis for a church service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor on April 5, marking her first public appearance in over three months.
A ‘mini-me’ moment

Charlotte has often been described as Kate’s “mini-me”, and her Easter look only reinforced that comparison.
She re-wore a butterscotch Catherine Walker coatdress first seen on Christmas Day 2025, pairing it with a baby blue Self-Portrait dress underneath, a colour closely associated with Kate’s past Easter appearances.
Kate also opted for a re-wear, stepping out in a cream Self-Portrait mididress, with both mother and daughter wearing a brand long favoured by royal women.
Charlotte completed her look with Tory Burch ballet flats, another label frequently worn by her mother.
A signature look taking shape

The young royal’s outfit reflects a growing pattern in her public appearances, favouring classic, polished silhouettes with subtle detailing.
Stylist Charlotte Kewley told Hello! that Charlotte’s wardrobe leans towards “timeless, heritage-inspired dressing”, highlighting elements such as hair bows, velvet collars and structured coats.
The approach closely mirrors Kate’s fashion philosophy, which often centres on re-wearing pieces and maintaining an elegant, understated style.
More than just fashion

Charlotte has also drawn comparisons beyond style, with royal biographer Robert Hardman noting similarities to her late great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
He told People that Charlotte shows traits of the former monarch, describing her as practical and composed, while sources have said she is “wise beyond her years”.
Royal photographer Chris Jackson also praised her presence at public events, saying she is “growing into such a young lady” with “great poise”.
A rare appearance
The Easter outing marked Charlotte’s first public appearance since Christmas Day 2025, when she attended church at Sandringham with the royal family.
Her return, combined with her coordinated look alongside her mother, quickly drew attention, with many royal fans making the same observation: the resemblance to Kate Middleton is becoming unmistakable.
