ISLAMABAD: Most private Hajj organising companies have uploaded their packages on the government’s digital portal, the Ministry of Religious Affairs said on Friday.

The ministry said that Pakistan has finalised 16 basic Hajj packages under its private Hajj scheme for 2026, with prices ranging from Rs1.4 million to Rs3.75 million.

“Most Hajj organising companies have uploaded their packages on the ministry’s digital portal following government instructions, leading to an increase in bookings through the “Pak Hajj app” and “Hajj portal”, the ministry said.

The private Hajj scheme offers pilgrims a choice of short-duration packages, direct flights from overseas and five-star accommodation packages.

The ministry has allocated 71,684 seats for the private Hajj scheme this year.

It has set November 20 as the deadline for selecting a package and making payment through the official Hajj portal or Pak Hajj app.

The ministry advised private Hajj pilgrims to select their packages and make payments only through the official digital platforms.

“Any payment made directly to an individual or company will be at the pilgrim’s own risk, and the ministry will not be responsible for any resulting loss,” a ministry spokesperson said.

The ministry said that 16 basic Hajj packages had been finalised under the private scheme, allowing pilgrims to choose according to their preferred duration, accommodation and travel arrangements.

If the allocated quota is not fully utilised by the deadline, the ministry will have the authority to reallocate the remaining quota, the spokesperson said.

The government has been expanding digital processes for Hajj arrangements to facilitate pilgrims and improve transparency in private scheme bookings.
