PSF all set to host 31st Asian Junior Individual Squash Championship

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) has been granted the rights to host the 31st Asian Junior Individual Championship (AJIC-24) by the Asian Squash Federation (ASF). The prestigious event will take place in Islamabad from June 25 to June 29, 2024, in collaboration with Serena Hotel Islamabad.

The championship will feature competitions in the Boys and Girls U-13, U-15, U-17, and U-19 age categories. A total of 12 countries have confirmed their participation, including Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Korea, Macau, Malaysia, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. The event has attracted a robust participation of 107 male players, 84 female players, 36 officials, and 44 parents from across Asia.

The PSF has arranged accommodations for the players and officials at PAFSOM, Best Western, and IFQ Hotel for the duration of the championship.

Pakistani Players

The PSF has entered 24 male and 19 female players in various age groups. These players have undergone extensive training, and the PSF anticipates outstanding performances during the championship.

Technical Delegates and Panel of Referees

Al-Ardy Ally has been appointed as the ASF Technical Delegate for AJIC-24. Additionally, WSF international referee Tahir Khanzada will serve as the championship referee, supported by a panel of 23 referees to conduct matches at both venues.

The PSF has made comprehensive arrangements for the championship, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.
