PSL 10: Lahore Qalandars crush Karachi Kings by 65 runs

KARACHI: Lahore Qalandars handed a resounding 65-run defeat to Karachi Kings in the sixth match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 at National Stadium on Tuesday.

After winning the toss, Lahore Qalandars skipper Shaheen Afridi opted to bat first.

The team posted a formidable total of 201 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs.

Fakhar Zaman led the charge with a blistering 76-run knock, while Daryl Mitchell supported strongly with 75 runs.

Sam Billings contributed 19, Mohammad Naeem added 7, and Abdullah Shafique managed 6.

In reply, Karachi Kings struggled from the outset and were bundled out for 136.

Only Khushdil Shah (39) and Hasan Ali (27) offered some resistance, while the rest of the batting line-up faltered.

Notably, big names like David Warner, James Vince, and Arafat Minhas were dismissed for ducks.

Shan Masood and Tim Seifert made 18 each, Irfan Khan scored 6, Fawad Ali 2, and Abbas Afridi just 1.

With the ball, Hasan Ali starred for Qalandars as well, bagging 4 wickets.

Skipper Shaheen Afridi and Rashad Hussain took 3 wickets apiece.

Speaking after the toss, Afridi had said the team was keen to bounce back after a tough opening match and aimed to set a strong total for defence.

Karachi Kings captain David Warner had said even if they had won the toss, they would have chosen to bowl first, and confirmed there were no changes to their playing XI.
