PSL 10: strong opening by Islamabad United against Karachi Kings


RAWALPINDI: Karachi Kings won the toss and elected to field first against Islamabad United in the 30th fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Monday.

The two sides have faced off 23 times since the PSL’s inception in 2016, with Islamabad United dominating the head-to-head record with 17 wins to Karachi’s six.

Islamabad, led by Shadab Khan, are looking to end a four-match losing streak, while the Kings head into the clash with strong form, having won four of their last five matches.

Karachi’s playing XI includes David Warner, Tim Seifert and Hasan Ali, while United field Alex Hales, Rassie van der Dussen and Imad Wasim among others in a must-win encounter for playoff hopes.

Islamabad United: Alex Hales, Sahibzada Farhan, Rassie van der Dussen, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan (c), Haider Ali, Imad Wasim, Ben Dwarshuis, Muhammad Ghazi Ghori, Salman Irshad and Tymal Mills.

Karachi Kings: David Warner, Tim Seifert, James Vince, Saad Baig, Khushdil Shah, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Aamir Jamal, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Hasan Ali and Mir Hamza.
