PSL 11 schedule unveiled, eight teams to compete across six cities

LAHORE: The schedule for the Pakistan Super League season 11 has been announced, with the tournament set to run from March 26 to May 3 and feature a total of 44 matches.

For the first time in the league’s history, eight teams will take part after the addition of two new franchises — Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindi — expanding the competition beyond its traditional six-team format.

According to the Pakistan Cricket Board, matches will be played across six cities, with Faisalabad and Peshawar set to host PSL games for the first time. The tournament will begin at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore with the opening match.

Each team will play 10 matches in the league stage before the playoffs begin on April 28.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including one qualifier, while Gaddafi Stadium will stage 15 games during the tournament.

In a significant expansion of venues, Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host seven PSL matches for the first time, while Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar will also make its PSL debut.

Multan Cricket Stadium is scheduled to host four matches, while National Bank Stadium in Karachi will stage six games.

The tournament will also feature 12 double-headers, adding to what organisers expect to be a packed schedule for the expanded season.
