PSL Season 11: Hyderabad franchise officially unveils team name as Hyderabad Kingsmen

ISLAMABAD: The wait is finally over for cricket fans, as the Hyderabad franchise has officially unveiled ‘Hyderabad Kingsmen’ as their team name, joining the seven other teams in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The announcement was made by team owner Fawad Sarwar while speaking on an occasion.

He said that the name Hyderabad Kingsmen represents the passion of Hyderabad’s people and the team’s ambition to rule the cricket field with discipline and determination.

Fans are eagerly looking forward to the team’s logo, colours, and player lineup, with the team players now expected bring fresh energy to the Pakistan Super League and create unforgettable moments for cricket lovers across the country.

The Sialkot franchise of the PSL has also announced its official name, calling it ‘Sialkot Stallionz’.

The ‘Sialkot Stallions’ franchise owner Hamza Majeed confirmed that the name is not just a title but a part of the city’s identity, representing its prestige, spirit and past achievements, including its cricket history.

Speaking at an occasion, he said that this name was chosen to pay tribute to the tradition of cricket in Sialkot and to fulfil the long-standing desire of the fans.

According to Majeed, the Sialkot Stallions have been one of the most successful domestic T20 cricket teams in Pakistan in the past.

Founded in 2004, the Stallions set a unique record by winning five consecutive titles in the National T20 Cup from 2005 to 2010. During this time, the team also set a world record of winning 25 consecutive matches in top-level T20 cricket.
