PSX turns bearish as KSE-100 loses 1,371 points

KARACHI: The benchmark KSE-100 Index fell 1,370.52 points, or 0.82 per cent, on Wednesday, closing at 168,021.80 as selling pressure weighed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The index had closed at 169,392.33 points in the previous session, according to market data.
Trading remained broadly negative, with 320 stocks declining against 121 that advanced, while 129 remained unchanged.
Total volume stood at 356.14 million shares, with the value of traded shares at around Rs19.49 billion across 278,324 trades.
The broader All-Share Index also declined, falling 689.83 points, or 0.68 per cent, to 101,556.93. The KSE-30 Index shed 476.61 points, or 0.95 per cent, to close at 49,991.48.
The KSE-100 had gained 1,422 points, or 0.85 per cent, in the previous session, closing at 169,392.33 points.
