ISLAMABAD: The prices of PTA-approved Apple iPhone 15 models in Pakistan have decreased for the second time in less than two months. The popular smartphone is now available at significantly reduced prices in the local market.
Although Apple does not have an official store in Pakistan and has not set official prices for the iPhone 15 models, various stores and companies import and sell them with both local and international warranties.
This lack of official pricing often leads to confusion among consumers regarding the cost of Apple products, particularly iPhones. Despite this, a prominent company, Mercantile, known as “Apple’s distributor” in the country, is now offering all PTA-approved iPhone 15 models at discounted prices.
The prices for PTA-approved iPhone 15 models now start at Rs323,000 for the iPhone 15 (128 GB variant) and go up to Rs621,100 for the top-end model, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (1 TB). The iPhone 15 Pro (128 GB) is now priced at Rs404,700.
Just three months ago, the iPhone 15 Pro Max (256 GB) was priced above Rs550,000 in the Pakistani market; however, it is now available for Rs476,500 with a local warranty.
The recent price decline can be attributed to several factors. Importers who brought in the phones may have struggled to attract a larger customer base due to the high price tag, leading some consumers to opt for non-PTA approved phones.
Additionally, with the anticipated launch of the iPhone 16, the price of iPhone 15 models is naturally declining as retailers and distributors begin to clear their stock in preparation for the new model, expected to be released in less than five months.
This reduction in prices offers a more affordable option for consumers in Pakistan, making the coveted iPhone 15 more accessible ahead of the next big release from Apple.
