PTI Chairman’s deteriorating health: Bushra Bibi appeals to SC

ISLAMABAD — In a significant development, Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, has lodged an appeal with the Supreme Court (SC) to address the deteriorating health conditions of her husband during his incarceration in Attock jail.

Following her visit to Attock Jail on August 22, where she was granted permission to meet her husband, Bushra Bibi Friday submitted an affidavit through Advocate Hamid Khan, formally raising concerns about Imran Khan’s ailing health situation.

In the submitted affidavit, Bushra Bibi highlighted the compromised well-being of Imran Khan during his time in jail, pointing out alarming signs of drastic weight loss and a notable weakening of his arm muscles.

She underscored the gravity of the situation, particularly given Khan’s age of 70, and expressed fears that his current health condition could pose a substantial risk to his life.

The affidavit emphasized the urgency of the matter, highlighting that Khan’s life might be seriously threatened due to these health challenges. It called for immediate intervention to ensure Khan’s well-being and safety, recognizing the potential consequences of further deterioration.

Bushra Bibi reiterated her husband’s resolute dedication to enduring hardships and making sacrifices for the nation’s betterment. However, she appealed to the Supreme Court to take swift and decisive action to address the concerning state of his health.
