PTI Chairman’s remand extended until September 26

ISLAMABAD: A special court, established under the Official Secrets Act, has extended the judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman until September 26 in the cipher case.
Judge Abul Hasanat Zulqarnain presided over an in-camera hearing at the Attock Jail, where PTI Chairman Imran Khan was present alongside his nine member legal team.
The FIA team investigating the cipher case was also present in the jail.
IHC reserves verdict on jail trial in Cipher Case
Imran Khan’s 14-day judicial remand had expired on Tuesday, prompting the special court judge, Abul Hasanat Muhammad Zulqarnain, to request that the proceedings be conducted in Attock Jail “due to security reasons,” in accordance with a fresh notification from the law ministry.
