PTI chairman’s spin bike hits a speed bump in Adiala Jail

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf Chairman’s gym plans were  put on pause outside Adiala Jail as a spin bike, earmarked for the PTI Chief, found itself spinning in circles, but not where it was intended to be.

Reports have emerged of an ambitious attempt to deliver a spin bike to the PTI Chairman within the confines of Adiala Jail, where he is currently serving time. Imran Khan, known for his passion for fitness, apparently had grand plans to keep his exercise routine on track behind bars. However, this lofty goal quickly ran into a roadblock when the jail superintendent demanded a written court order to authorize the spin bike’s delivery to the PTI chief.

The exercise equipment saga had reached its zenith during a courtroom showdown earlier this week, where Imran Khan’s lawyer engaged in a spirited debate with a special judge regarding the provision of the spin bike. The lawyer fervently argued that his client was in dire need of a stationary cycle to maintain his fitness during his prison stay.

However, the judge revealed a rather skeptical perspective. He cited concerns that the jail superintendent might be tempted to hop on the exercise bike himself, and he wasn’t exactly thrilled about the prospect.

In a bid to address these concerns, Advocate Ranjha, representing Imran Khan, suggested appointing a “bike-sitter” to ensure that the exercise equipment remained in the right hands and didn’t go for any joyrides. He even referred to the jail’s rulebook, highlighting the paramount importance of prisoner safety.

Meanwhile PTI Chairman’s winter wardrobe was delivered to Adiala Jail from the comforts of his home. A dedicated staff contingent arrived at the jail gate bearing five pairs of winter clothes, vests, and slings. However, the jail officials insisted they have to wait for official permission to provide Khan with his cozy confinement attire.
