PTI protest at Liaquat Bagh: Metro bus service suspended in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: The district administration has suspended the Metro Bus Service (MBS) in Rawalpindi due to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled for Saturday, September 28, at Liaquat Bagh.

The service has been suspended from Saddar Station to IJP Road. However, the Metro Bus service will remain operational in Islamabad.

The Punjab government has also imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi as PTI has called for a peaceful protest in the city on Saturday.

Section 144 has been imposed for two days, set to take effect on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29.

Rangers have also been deployed to ensure law and order. A notification has been sent to the federal government regarding their deployment.
