PTI senator alarmed over denial of meetings with Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Aon Abbas has expressed serious concerns over the denial of meeting with party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan for the last one month.

Speaking in the Senate, he said that not a single minister had inquired about the PTI founder’s well-being and that the entire system seems to be intimidated by a prisoner.

The senator alleged that when his brother attempted to meet the PTI founder, the SHO dragged him by his hair. He also claimed that an interview of the founder’s sister was manipulated using AI and aired on an Indian news channel.

He recalled that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif had, in the past, first revealed news about Ajmal Kasab on Indian channels.

Criticizing the Indian government, Senator Pabbi said that Prime Minister Modi had visited Jati Umra to congratulate his granddaughter on her wedding but was unnecessarily interfering in Pakistan’s internal affairs.

The senator stated that under the current circumstances, parliamentary proceedings cannot be conducted effectively, and all relevant parties have a responsibility to treat the PTI founder transparently and according to the law.

The Senate session was adjourned until Thursday at 4pm.
