LAHORE: The process of forming cabinets in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa concluded with both provincial administrations preparing to administer oaths to their respective cabinets on Wednesday (today).

Following the general election held on February 8, the Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governments finalised their cabinet selections.

The swearing-in ceremony for the Punjab Cabinet is slated to take place at the Governor’s House today at 4 pm, with Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rahman overseeing the oath-taking ceremony.

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President and Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz unveiled the lineup for her cabinet.

In Punjab, the initial phase will witness the oath-taking of 15 ministers, with a focus on key ministries.

Meanwhile, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur engaged in discussions with Imran Khan, the founding chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), at Adiala Jail regarding the region’s political dynamics.

Names for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet including Mushtaq Ghani, among others, have received approval for various ministerial positions.

Gandapur pledged to prioritise initiatives aimed at fostering peace, security, and prosperity across the province.
