WEB DESK: Punjab’s educational boards on Thursday released the results of the 2025 matric supplementary examinations, revealing low pass rates across major districts.
According to the Lahore Board, 54,756 students sat the second annual exams, but only 24,873 managed to pass, a success rate of just over 45 per cent. The majority of candidates were unable to clear the papers, highlighting the academic challenges faced by students this year, stated Dunya News.
The Multan Board also declared its results, with 7,204 of the 16,115 candidates passing the exams.
In Faisalabad, outcomes were even more concerning. The board reported that 57 per cent of students failed the supplementary exams for the second time. Out of 20,977 candidates, only 8,982 secured a pass, reflecting a 42.82 per cent success rate.
Education authorities said the supplementary exams served as a final opportunity for students to improve their academic standing. They urged those who did not pass to assess their weaknesses, seek academic support, and prepare more effectively for the next academic cycle.
Officials added that, as students move forward with applications for higher secondary education, boards will provide counselling and remedial assistance to help struggling candidates meet required eligibility standards.
