Holi is a vibrant and significant Hindu festival known as the Festival of Colours, Love, and Spring.

It celebrates the eternal and divine love of the deities Radha and Krishna. The festival marks the beginning of spring and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil.

Holi festivities begin on the eve with Holika Dahan, where people light bonfires to signify the burning of evil spirits.

The next day, people engage in playful activities by throwing colored powders and water at each other, each color carrying its own meaning. For example, red symbolizes love and fertility, while green signifies new beginnings.

The day is filled with music, dancing, and sharing festive meals with family and friends².

This festival not only celebrates the season’s change but also the essence of unity and joy, transcending social boundaries and bringing people together in a shared celebration of life and renewal.
