Punjab govt announces new school timings from Aug 15

LAHORE: The Punjab Government has notified new school timings for schools across Punjab from August 15, Friday, the day on which schools are reopening after summer vacations.

According to the notification issued by the Government of Punjab School Education Department on August 10, schools operating in the morning shift from Monday to Thursday will observe timings from 8am to 1:30pm and from 8am to 12pm on Fridays.

For schools overserving double and afternoon shifts on weekdays will operate from 8am to 12pm in the morning and 1pm to 5:30pm in afternoon shift and evening shift will operate from 2pm to 5:30pm on Fridays.

Punjab government new timings for school teachers

The timings for teachers working in single-shift schools will be from 8am to 3pm on weekdays and from 8am to 12:30pmon Fridays.

The timings for teachers in double-shift schools will be from 8am to 2pm for the morning shift and from 1pm to 7pm for the evening shift on weekdays.

On Fridays, the timings for teachers will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30pm for the morning shift and from 2:30pm to 6pm for the evening shift.

On alternate Saturdays, the timings for teachers will be from 9am to 12pm.

The school holidays that commenced in Punjab schools will end on August 14, and schools will reopen on August 15.
