Punjab winter holidays ended, schools to reopen tomorrow

LAHORE: All schools across Punjab will reopen tomorrow, January 19, following an extended winter break, bringing an end to nearly a month of holidays for students and teachers.

The winter holidays in Punjab, originally scheduled from December 20 to January 10, were set to end on January 13. However, due to unusually cold weather conditions, the break was extended until January 18.

The Punjab Education Minister confirmed on Sunday that there will be no further extension of the holidays. School timings will remain from 8:45 AM to 1:30 PM.

Students and parents are advised to resume normal routines as classes will resume across the province starting Monday.

The academic calendar for students has already been reduced from 120 days due to previous disruptions, mostly caused by unprecedented smog levels.
