Quetta: Former CM’s nephew killed in a shoot-out

QUETTA: Nawabzada Haroon Raisani, the nephew of former Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Aslam Raisani, along with two others lost their lives in a shoot-out between two groups on Sariab Road in Quetta, the media reported on Wednesday.
According to the reports, the deceased also included a prominent transporter Brahmadagh Lahri and a Levies official, while four others sustained injuries.

Meanwhile, the Police officials took immediate action by reaching the scene, and shifted the injured and deceased to nearby hospital for medicolegal formalities.
No official details have been released by the Police regarding the incident.
Quetta blast
Earlier on Wednesday, at least one person was killed in an explosion on Spinny Road in Quetta, according to local police.
Immediately after the blast, police teams swiftly responded to the scene and secured the area with cordons.
A search operation was launched by the police, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was called in to inspect the surroundings.
The nature of the explosion was yet to be determined, and investigations were currently under way.
Police officials suspected that the deceased individual may have been the perpetrator who detonated the explosion.
However, conclusive findings were still pending as the investigation continued.
