Rain and snow forecast across Pakistan as weather systems sweep the country

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued forecasts of rainfall and snowfall across several regions of the country, accompanied by possible thunderstorms.

According to the PMD, Islamabad is expected to experience partly cloudy skies today, while Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa may see partly cloudy conditions with light rain or snowfall in some areas.

Advisories have also been issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority for travellers, highlighting possible disruptions due to the changing weather.

Meanwhile, parts of Lahore and select districts of Gilgit-Baltistan are likely to witness rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. In contrast, Karachi is forecast to remain mostly dry under partly cloudy skies, with a humidity level of 80 percent and winds blowing from the west at 7 kilometers per hour.

Residents across affected areas are advised to stay updated with weather reports and take necessary precautions in case of localised heavy rain or snowfall.
