WEB DESK: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain accompanied by strong winds in various parts of the country over the coming days, while cold and dry conditions are expected to persist in most regions.

According to the PMD, the overall weather pattern will remain cold and dry across much of the country. However, gusty winds are likely to sweep through Islamabad, potentially causing a further drop in temperatures.

In the northern hill stations, including Murree and the scenic Galiyat region, cold and dry weather is expected to continue. Residents and tourists have been advised to take precautions against chilly winds, especially during nighttime hours.

Meanwhile, thundershowers are predicted in parts of Lower Balochistan. Rain is likely in several districts including Quetta, Chaman, Pishin, Zhob, Ziarat, Sibi, Kalat, Gwadar and adjoining areas. Local authorities have urged residents to remain cautious in light of possible strong winds and lightning.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers is expected in multiple districts, including Waziristan, Lakki Marwat, Parachinar, Karak and Bannu.

The department further stated that partly cloudy weather is expected in the coastal and western districts of Sindh. Fishermen and residents in coastal areas have been advised to stay updated on weather advisories in case conditions worsen.

Authorities have urged citizens across affected areas to take necessary precautions, particularly in regions where strong winds and thunderstorms are anticipated.
