Rain, thunderstorms likely in Islamabad, Punjab and parts of Balochistan and Sindh

More rain accompanied by thunder is expected in Islamabad and surrounding areas, while the Pakistan Meteorological Department has also forecast wet weather for parts of Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh.
According to the forecast, rain is likely in Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Murree, the Galiyat, Sargodha and Mianwali. Thunderstorms are also expected in Lahore, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin and Sialkot, while Narowal, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Okara and Kasur may also receive rain with thunder and lightning.
In Balochistan, rain is expected in Quetta, Ziarat, Chaman, Pishin, Qila Abdullah and Qila Saifullah, as well as Chagai, Nushki, Harnai, Zhob, Kalat, Mastung, Barkhan and Kohlu. The Met Office has also predicted rain in Bolan, Sibi, Nasirabad, Loralai, Khuzdar, Kech and Panjgur. Strong winds and thunderstorms are also likely in Awaran, Turbat and Lasbela.
In Sindh, rain with thunder is expected in Karachi, Hyderabad, Dadu, Jacobabad, Naushahro Feroze, Kashmore and Larkana. Similar conditions are forecast for Sanghar, Sukkur, Ghotki, Khairpur, Shaheed Benazirabad, Thatta, Badin, Mirpurkhas and Umerkot.
The Met Office has warned that Tharparkar may receive heavy rain with strong winds and thunderstorms, with hail also possible at some places.
Current forecasts show showers in Islamabad today and thunderstorms possible in Lahore, while Karachi is expected to start clearing after rain earlier in the day
