Rajab moon sighted in Pakistan; Shab-e-Meraj on Jan 28

ISLAMABAD: The moon marking the beginning of Rajab 1446 AH has been sighted in Pakistan, Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Wednesday.

Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad made the announcement at the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Islamabad.

The chairman confirmed the Rajab moon sighting in light of the deliberations and evidence from various parts of Pakistan.

The first day of Rajab will be observed on Thursday, January 2, 2024, the committee announced.

Moreover, Shab-e-Meraj will be observed on January 28, 2025 (Tuesday).
