WEB DESK: Ranbir Kapoor’s latest movie, “Animal,” co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, has already generated significant buzz, having earned Rs203 million through advance bookings before its scheduled release on December 1.
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, known for his work on “Kabir Singh” (2019) and “Arjun Reddy” (2017), the film falls under the genre of a romantic crime drama.
The anticipation surrounding “Animal” is evident as over 200,000 advance tickets were sold within the first two days of the booking launch on November 25. The pre-release earnings have already surpassed Rs203 million, raising expectations for the film to achieve a Rs1692 million opening day collection.
This movie holds particular significance for Ranbir Kapoor as it is poised to become his most significant project to date. The movie will face competition from Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur.’
Directed by Sandeep Vanga and produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, “Animal” has received an 18 rating from the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), indicating it is suitable for adults only. The film’s description on the BBFC site warns of intense violence, including instances of sexual and domestic violence, along with mild spoilers.

While the trailer for “Animal” has sparked excitement among fans, some have noted that a particular scene featuring Ranbir and Rashmika Mandanna’s characters resembles elements from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s previous films, “Arjun Reddy” and “Kabir Singh,” both criticised for glorifying toxic masculinity.
The film’s release is highly anticipated, and its success could mark a significant milestone in Ranbir Kapoor’s career.
